Located one hour Northwest of New York City in the town of Warwick, New York, our eighteen thousand square foot processing and development facility features state-of-the-art equipment offering extraction & manufacturing services, product development, packaging and labeling and more for third parties. Our facility is optimally located to serve not only our local Orange County community, but our partners across the State and in NYC.
As part of urbanXtracts’ vision and mission the facilities are designed and operated under our robust ESG program focused on environmental stewardship through sustainable cannabis production practices and the establishment of green manufacturing facilities. urbanXtracts is currently expanding to include a cultivation facility and agriculture processing facility as well as other future planned facilities to create a self-sufficient community on the twenty-acre campus site. Environmental programs include responsible sourcing of water, energy efficient passive greenhouses and solar generated power.
From Prison to Hemp Hub Located an hour north of Manhattan lies the historic black dirt farming region of Orange County and the picturesque town of Warwick, New York. The quaint 101-square-mile village is known for farming, small business and up until a decade ago was home to the Mid-Orange Correctional Facility and the New York State School. Now, we’re transforming this historic site into a bustling regional hub for growing and processing cannabinoids. The history of our site dates back eight decades. Originally a vocational training school and reformatory for boys in the 1930s, the school was supported by Elenaor Roosevelt and then President Franklin Roosevelt to teach farming practices to underrepresented youth. In 1976, the facility was converted into an all-male medium security prison which finally closed in 2011. Now, with the help of the local municipality, urbanXtracts is revitalizing the property with a state-of-the-art facility used to cultivate and manufacture cannabis-derived productsHistory
